Description

In 1953 my late Grandfather spent a month travelling around the Middle East on business and amongst a lot of papers were original airline tickets, maps and Hotel receipts, survivors from a golden age of early air travel. I painted this Golden eagle on a receipt from the Semiramis Hotel, which sounded a very lovely place to stay.
